Explanation of Coverage
HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE:

Homeowner insurance protects your home in the event of certain types of losses. It
also covers your personal property and possessions, and provides liability coverage
and medical expense coverage in the event of
a loss. Homeowner insurance is a must if you have a mortgage on the property, and
one should always have the insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Why should I have Homeowners Insurance?  A home is one of the most valuable
purchases that a person can ever make. So naturally, it should be protected. And that
is what homeowner insurance is for. An accident could occur that would destroy your
home in several minutes. Years of hard work and memories can go down the drain
just as fast. We all know the damage that a fire can do in a short period of time. We
also know of the damage that wind can do, as well as lightening, hail, or any other
type of calamity. What if your home is vandalized? Or burglarized? Or your seemingly
sweet dog bites someone and they decide to sue you? So many things can happen
unexpectedly, and you need to be covered if anything unfortunate does happen. You
home is a prized possession, and therefore, it should be financially covered as such.

What is covered on a homeowner policy?  There are several things that are covered
on a homeowner policy. The first one is most obviously, your dwelling, including
other structures (a fence, an outside shed, etc.). A homeowner policy also provided
coverage for your personal property - furniture, clothes, etc, should you has a loss.
Another thing that is covered is loss of use - if your home is burnt to the ground in a
fire, you will need somewhere to live while it is being rebuilt. Insurance will cover, up
to a certain amount, the cost of those living arrangements. Homeowners insurance
will also cover liability if someone gets injured on your property and you are
responsible for that personal injury or damage to another's property.
